School has been back in session for awhile now, and you’ve probably even faced a few exams.

Those of you in two-year diploma programs, such as the German Abitur or the International Baccalaureate, may feel like you’ve been inundated with a tsunami of tasks and deadlines. The projects are bigger than any assignments you had in ninth or tenth grade. Daily homework is bad enough! How will you ever make time for those longer-range projects? Extended Essay, anyone? Facharbeit? Senior thesis?

Here in New York, we’ve been enjoying a last week of summerly weather. I thought you could use some advice from a successful Ivy League student, who had this to say the summer before she left for college.

Athena Advises

How did she do it?

What do you think of her advice?

How can you put her recommendation to work for you right now?

Remember: You’re not the first person to tackle a demanding curriculum and college applications at the same time. The key to success is–what did she say again?

Hmm, I think I would do well to follow her advice myself!
