7.7 Do not panic—but do check that your Early application is complete!

Check the checklist!

Did you file an Early Decision or Early Action application? Congratulations! You’re off to a good start! But hold on just a moment, please. Did you check to make sure all of the required materials arrived?leafsmall

When you submitted your Early Decision or Early Action application, the university in question sent you a confirmation message. They assigned you an account and provided you with a login ID and password.

Log on to the account and check that every item required to complete your application has arrived.

marlena-corcoran-20160728_0647-ar-retouchlinkedinIf any materials from your school are missing, contact your guidance counselor or other school official immediately to have the material resent. Do this right away!

Contact the admissions office of the university to which you applied. Sometimes they will ask you to send, for example, an unofficial copy of your transcript in PDF format. They will use this while they wait for the official documents from your school.

Do not freak out. These things happen; although usually, if something is missing, the university will have contacted you by now to let you know.

Still, it is your responsibility to verify that your application is complete. If anything is missing, don't panic and hide behind an orange leaf! Get that material to the university immediately.

Good luck on your Early Decision or Early Action application!
